How to help your teen develop the study skills they need to excel in high school and college
When it comes to getting into college, GPA is a hugely important factor. Grades are a direct result of your study skills, and the way that you’re preparing for your classes. Unfortunately, most schools are not actually teaching students how to study. It’s the place we go to learn, and yet they never teach us how to learn. In this interview, Leslie Josel, an award-winning author, internationally acclaimed speaker, and founder of Order out of Chaos, shares tips and tricks you can use to help your teen master the art of studying once and for all, including…
- The most common mistakes students make when studying, and WHY their current study strategies aren’t working
- The difference between PASSIVE and ACTIVE studying
- Why rewriting notes doesn’t actually work…unless you do it this way
- What some of the best study tools are, and why the best tools are usually unexpected
- How your teen can connect what they’re already passionate about how they study
- Why kids mostly focus their studying on what they already know, and not what they need to learn
- How study guides should actually be used
- Whether or not study groups actually work
