Interview | Maggie Wray 2019

Special GIFT from Maggie

Free Student Goal-Setting Session with a Coach

I believe it is essential for students to have their OWN goals they’re working towards. This is something we do with ALL students we work with 1:1. We created a process for this, because it’s HARD for students to do on their own. If you think your teen might have a hard time with this, we’d be happy to help them! During this meeting we…

  • START with their strengths (essential!)
  • Discuss what they’d want to get BETTER at (growth mindset)
  • Set GOALS for what they’d like to accomplish in the upcoming year (vision!)
  • Consider WHY these goals matters to THEM!  (not others!)

($175 value)

What you will learn in this interview

During this special “sneak preview” presentation, you will get an overview of some of the key insights from this summer’s interview series, including…

  • What’s wrong with the way most students are approaching the college process… and how to adopt the RIGHT mindset about this process
  • How to navigate the college process with less stress and more success
  • The best way for parents to support their teen with their college process (without taking over!)

About Your Speaker

Interview | Maggie Wray 2019

Dr. Maggie Wray, Ph.D.

Despite being told by her high school guidance counselor that she shouldn’t bother applying to ivy league schools because she wouldn’t be able to afford them, Maggie was accepted to every college she applied to (including Princeton, Dartmouth, and Cornell). She graduated college debt-free with a Bachelor’s degree in Astrophysics from Princeton and went on to earn her Ph.D. in Neurobiology and Behavior from Cornell.

Dr. Wray founded Creating Positive Futures, LLC in 2013 to help students develop the mindset, organization, time management, and study skills they need to excel in high school and to thrive in the most competitive schools in the country. In addition to the annual Your Teen, Ready For College Summit, she and her team of coaches offer private and group coaching programs that provide students with research-based strategies, accountability, and encouragement they need to achieve their academic goals.
